Help! My husband just cut his finger with table saw, but he wants me to put crazy glue on it?

The cut is not too deep and the bleeding stopped. we are trying not to go to the hospital because we don't have insurance. Has anybody ever heard of crazy glue? Or any other tips?
Answer:
Before you go sealing the wound with super glue, be sure you've flushed it very well so you don't seal in bacteria. As for the super glue...if you're going to close the wound with it, you must be sure you don't get the glue inside the wound. That would prevent the wound from healing properly and cause problems. If it has stopped bleeding and isn't too deep, your best bet would be to put an air tight bandage on it and let it heal naturally. Wounds usually heal from the inside out so it will close off by itself. If you do use the glue, which I'm not encouraging, be sure you close the wound up before applying, then apply only on the very surface, like a bandaid or steri-strip. If the wound is long, go to the drug store and get some steri-strips to close it.
I suppose it's the same concept as liquid bandaid
er cant refuse to treat you.. dont mess with your health
Crazy (or super) glue was invented during Vietnam for soldiers to close cuts. I've used it plenty of times.
I would deffinately not do that-put crazy glue on. If I were you I would clean the wound with soap and water and Liqulid Band-Aid. I would suggest going to the hospital any way to have stitches put in. They will robaly put it ina cast. Please don't use crazy glue. That might cause an infection in the finger. Or what you could just do as I said before just clean it with soap and wter and Liquld Band-Aid and then put gauze around the finger. Here is some more home treatment for cuts and lacerations.I have the website here for you at the bottom and I posted the information here as well.Cuts or Lacerations Treatment
Self-Care at Home
Most bleeding can be stopped with direct pressure and time (rest and elevation are also helpful).
Cleaning with a gentle soap and water helps to reduce the chance of bacterial infection.
Antibiotic ointment (such as bacitracin) and a sterile gauze bandage will help to protect the wound from further infection and water loss until a scab forms.
Medical Treatment
Just as at home, the first step is to stop the bleeding. If direct pressure is not enough, a blood pressure cuff can help as a temporary measure for cuts on arms and legs.
Tourniquets are generally not helpful for cuts to the face or body.
Medication to numb the area may be given to keep the treatment process from causing you more pain. Depending on the size and location of the cut, this may be done using various methods.Topical medicine (TAC, a mixture of tetracaine, adrenaline, and cocaine)
Direct injection of anesthetic into the wound
Injection into a regional nerve (for cuts to the finger tip, the nerves at the finger base are often blocked with a series of shots)
Cleaning is often the most important aspect of good wound care. This may be done by first washing the adjacent skin with soap and water and removing crusted blood with diluted hydrogen peroxide.
Next, irrigation by squirting saline at the wound under high pressure is very effective at reducing bacteria in the wound.
Your doctor will decide the best way to repair your wound. Some minor cuts can be closed with special adhesive tapes (Steri-Strips) or tissue glue (Dermabond). In addition to use as a surgical adhesive, 2-octyl cyanoacrylate (Dermabond) can be used as a barrier against common bacterial microbes.
Deeper cuts may need repair of deep structures (fascia, the connective tissue envelope around a muscle, may need stitches).
Stitches to the skin surface can help to stop bleeding, protect underlying tissues, and lessen scarring.
Different bandages are chosen for different material properties. Some materials are better because they won鈥檛 stick to your cut.
Others are more absorbent, provide needed surface pressure, or help to keep an injury immobile.

Crazy Glue or Nail Glue works great. Stings tho.
You are Not to put Crazy Glue on his wound . . . . . .All you have to do is rinse it out with Hydrogen Peroxide and put a bandaid on it. Change the bandaid frequently and maintain it dry! Yes it will take some time to heal but it will be fine . . . . .
it can still get infected. u shouldn't put crazy glue on it. Cleanse it, maybe with hydrogen peroxide. I suggest going to the emergency room, i understand that you dont have insurance, but i think your husband's health is more important.
Yup, that'll work.
put a ton of neosporen on it and some butterfly bandages...it should heal pretty quick after that!
I have done it millions of times - as long as you know its not too deep then its fine - i even use it on my dogs if they get a small cut - its going to sting a lil but it works wonderful!! i even like it better than stitches!! - cheaper too! - just make sure you clean it really really good before you seal it up - otherwise you will seal in an infection then you'll have to go to the hospital with a bigger bill! Good Luck!!
Trust me that's a bad idea. Put some hydrogenporoxide (sp? it comes in a large brown bottle for about 2-4 dollars) on. It will bubble and hurt a little but it helps keep infection away. Then put a dab of a type of antibacterial scare cream on it with a band aid and it will heal in no time. Both products are cheap and you can get it at any supermarket. For insurance see if you qualify for medical and/or if you live in california you can get low cost insurance through IEHP.
GO 2 A FREE CLINIC!!!!!!!! no crazy glue it will infect.
i have heard of super glue on the cut, only if it is minor, and it is a temperary thing. It helps keep the cut closed and stops the bleeding.
I would suggest cleaning it with bactine used for piercings and minor cuts and it has a numbing agent in it to help with the pain,if it is too deep i would say go to the hospital anyways and just pay as much as you can each month. If its to serious dont wait you need to get help. Hope i could help
If you dont have it closed up by now leave it open, if you close the wound after it has been open too long, there is a higher likelyhood of you close bacteria into the wound, which will lead to infection. If the wound starts to get red, swollen, painful, draining pus, I'd go to the doc right away because its getting infected
