Hour many hours of stretching/exercise will it take to have an inflexible person be flexible in 2 months?

I need an estimate of hours..what do you think? And what type of exercise will increase flexibility A LOT?
Answer:
Stretching is as much a "quality" question as a "quantity" question. Your muscles don't like to stretch when they're cold, so be sure to do 5-10 minutes of walking, biking - anything to get your blood pumping - before you try to stretch. Next, you need to hold stretches for a minimum of 30 seconds in order to make a difference in tissue length. It takes that much time for all the tissue fibers to get the message and start to lengthen. Yoga is a great option because it increases strength as well as flexibility, but just a general stretching program will work as well. If you web search for "stretching" you'll likely find some stretches to get you started. Remember: warm muscles, take it slow. And don't push too far too fast - when you feel your muscles start to resist, don't push further. Respect your body's limits. And good luck!
Go to a daily or every other day yoga class. That should get you more flexible.
go to a beginners yoga class. They'll keep you from over doing it, and help you work towards your goal!
