Home health care?

I am staying living with a family that is taking care of there grandmother. the wife of the family is doing most of the work taking care of her mother in law. the mother in law is partially paralyised on her left side because of a stroke. the wife has a bad back and should not be taking all the work load in caring for her but she is because she is a kind harted person. I have a friend who is going to college for nursing and works part time in a nursing home. they are thinking about hiring her for summer to help take care of the gandmother. what would be a good wage to pay her. thanks
Answer:
the better you pay, the better the service is.
I would start 11/hr for 90 days, if performance is good, raise to 12/hr. your friend will probably be very happy with that, and do a better job. taking care of elderly is very hard and demanding.
Around 8-9 dollars an hour.
I do the same work for $10.00 a hour, but that is in California. You need to find out what is the minimum in your state/town and come to a agreeable amount.
home care workers get around $10 per hour, some pay as much at $12 per hour.
since she's not yet a professional nurse..
you can give her the minimum wage...
but if you think she deserves more than that because of her performance..
why not increase it...
