Hit elbow, now it is painfull and tingly?

My co-worker hit his elbow a few hours ago and now it is still tingly, and quite painful. what did he do, and how can he fix it?
Answer:
He just hit a nerve, he should keep moving it around, tell the big baby he'll be okay.
Thanks for waiting for me to answer the other question before giving someone else best answer.
Well there are a lot of nerves and such in you elbow and by hitting it he hit the nerve. it could be just that or he may have broken or chiped his elbow. If the pain is that bad he should go see a doctor
Uh, see a doctor.
honestly, i would stretch out the arm. it is quite possible he jammed his elbow, so he might have to stretch it a little to make it go back to normal
he probably fractured his funny bone.yes, you can do that, even though it is a nerve.
he probably hit his funny bone. pour windex on it, it will take away the tingles and jingles.
He could have hit a nerve and that is why it is tingly since it has only been a few hrs it is not going to stop hurting just yet-depending on how hard he hit it it can remain sore for a few days as it can be bruised on the inside even if he doesnt have one that is visible... he can put an icepack on it and take a pain reliever -bayer or tynenol etc-these things take a bit of time to feel better and there really isnt much else to do for them
I do that all the time. If it's bent a certain way when I hit it, it tingles and hurts all the way down to the tips of my fingers! It hurts for a while and feels pretty sore, but it eventually goes away. All you have to do is give it time. Take it easy, for sure! Hope this helps!
LOL...That's called the funny bone, aka the ulnar nerve.
It's possible to bruise it and have it be a bother for quite a while.
Fixes - Rub the elbow a little and alternate hot and cold packs.
Ouch! It will be a bit sensitive but he'll be fine tomorrow.
When you smack your elbow, you hit nerves causing it to feel tingly..give it time it will go away on its own.
